Drywood Termite Services (with Infrared) |
|
Traditionally Drywood termites are treated in two ways. Whole house fumigation (accurate with a warranty but expensive and inconvenient) or spot treatments (cheap and convenient but no warranty and almost always fail)
Gecko Pest Management has the answer!
With Infrared Thermal Imaging!
You get the best that both treatments have to offer: accuracy and convenience with a warranty on the whole house for less $ than a fumigation . Here's how we do it.
Our crew consists of two technicians. An applicator and a themographer. The themographer can see into the walls and with pin point accuracy point to all of the studs, bottom plates, top plates and ceiling rafters with the cameras calibrated laser pointer. The themographer points to where he wants the applicator to drill a small hole through the wall covering and into the infested wood behind in the walls and or ceiling. Then the applicator injects "Termidor" (the colony elimination termiticide) through the injection holes. The themographer can see where the material is traveling through the termite galleries in the wood due to the temperature differential of the liquid vs. the steady temperature of the building materials being injected. The themographer directs the applicator through the treatment and can visually verify where the liquid material is going (or not going). This way you have an accurate application easily verified by the themographer with the best colony elimination termiticide on the market! (see Termidor Drywood Termite Treatment Data listed under "termite" on home page for technical data) The treatment holes are then patched and painted with paint the homeowner provides (which is usually found with the rest of the left over paint in the garage.)
